Jayne and Sharon attended this years Parent Friendly Awards in March at the Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London.

Sharon attended BT Openreach in February and collected a cheque for £600

Ann Jones (Openreach employee) held a Christmas raffle; offered head massage, and collected donations from her colleagues.

This is the 3 year Tommy’s has been chosen to be a beneficiary of the fundraising efforts of Ann and her BT Openreach colleagues, and we are so very grateful.

David Jefferies Memorial Awards Dinner

Diane Appleyard, one of our longest serving committee members, was invited to a very special event; The David Jefferies Memorial Awards Dinner 2007, held in Bradford in October, and was presented with a cheque for
£10,000 for the Tommy's in Yorkshire Charity.

The evening was hosted by TV presenter Vernon Kay, and attended by 460 guests, including James Toseland World Superbike Champion and Neil Hodgson ex world champion.

During the presentation a DVD, generously produced by Tommy's in Yorkshire very own webmaster Stuart Senior, was played on 8 screens around the room. This was to raise awareness about Tommy's, our work and how much valuable donations such as the one received can help. See the video here

A huge thanks go to The Jefferies Family for their kind donation in memory of their son, David. It is a truly fantastic sum of money for the charity to receive, and we are so very, very grateful to them.
