Emmerdale youngster lends support to Baby Charity
The Yorkshire branch of Tommy’s the baby charity held an awareness and fundraising event at Shibden Park on Sunday September 25th 2005.
The local group, now in it’s 10th year, organised a morning of family fun and games, which included a Treasure Trail, Face Painting, Raffle and Balloon Race.
Guest of honour was Emmerdale’s Hannah Midgley, who plays Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap. She signed photos and chatted to supporters, before releasing over 100 Tommy’s balloons over the skies of Shibden Park.
Tommy’s is a charity which not only raises awareness of miscarriage, still-birth and premature birth, but funds vital research into their causes. The Yorkshire Branch is a group of like-minded women who have all endured personal experiences of these conditions, and are helping others by raising awareness and raising vital research funds
Future fundraising events include a Pamper Evening and Christmas Party. Anyone wishing to attend these events or join the group is asked to contact the branch.
